Imminent Thursday, July 3, 2003 - 9:45 pm Well, I'm packed. We'll be on our way to Oahu in a few hours. Yep, we're goin' to Hawaii for a week. Short notice, huh? I still need to make a list of all the things I've forgotten to do. If I don't give myself at least forty quiet minutes to think up everything I've forgotten, I won't be able to travel in peace. Books. I didn't pack any books. This is gonna be a loafing vacation, we don't want to do anything. Especially snorkeling. Everybody tells us we need to go snorkeling. WeJer, the Fiend and Ihave solemnly sworn to each other that we are most definitely not going to do anything we need to do. Except I'll need to read while I loaf. Gotta pack books. Back in a bit. ~ 10:14 pm Okay, I've got Autobiography of a Face by Lucy Grealy, Metes and Bounds by Jay Quinn and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt. Jer is bringing The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula LeGuin, and the Fiend's contribution is Deep River by Shusaku Endo. ~ 11:09 pm Life of Pi by Yann Martel has been added. I feel slightly ridiculous. Who goes to Hawaii to read? last eleven:
